Nessa Barrett has announced her return to Australia this December, adding three headline dates to her AFTERCARE World Tour. The rising pop provocateur will perform her largest Australian shows to date, beginning at Melbourne’s Margaret Court Arena on Tuesday 9 December, followed by Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion on Wednesday 10 December, and concluding at The Fortitude Music Hall in Brisbane on Tuesday 16 December.
These headline performances will accompany her appearances on all dates of this year’s Spilt Milk Festival, marking her second visit to Australia following a sold-out debut run in 2023 with the Church Club For The Lonely Tour. That inaugural world tour saw Barrett sell more than 83,000 tickets across 60 dates and included coveted slots at ACL, Reading & Leeds, and Pukkelpop.
Now entering a more defined creative era, Barrett will tour in support of her sophomore album AFTERCARE (2024), an ambitious and cinematic body of work that Cosmopolitan described as “a film with Nessa not only behind the camera but taking centre stage.” The album sees her transition into bold, electro-pop territory, while still grounded in the emotional intensity that has defined her music to date.
Tracks like PASSENGER PRINCESS and MUSTANG BABY (featuring Artemas) signal a new sonic direction—one that fuses infatuation and empowerment, and has expanded her sound without compromising its darker romantic core.
At just 22, Barrett has already amassed over 2 billion global streams and a significant cultural footprint, becoming a fashion and music crossover force with features in Billboard, Forbes, and People Magazine. As she continues to build on a rapid rise that has been anything but predictable, these three headline dates in Australia promise to be a striking showcase of her evolving artistry.
